Future trainees receive a grant for the LPC to cover course fees, plus a contribution of £7,000 towards maintenance. From September 2008 we will pay a maintenance grant of £10,000 per annum.
Trainee solicitor salaries are £36,000 per annum for first years and £41,000 per annum for second years, from October 2007. From October 2008, those salaries will increase to not less than £38,000 per annum and £43,000 per annum respectively. Other benefits include free permanent health and life assurance, company pension scheme, subsidised membership of Fitness First gym near St Paul's Cathedral, subsidised staff café and interest-free season-ticket loans.
Annual holiday entitlement is four week plus an additional day at Christmas and on your birthday. Upon qualification, holiday entitlement increases to 25 days.
